This past weekend we had the chance to hike both Grays and Torreys peaks. I had never done a 14er before this trip and was not sure what to expect. Not only is it a 14er but we are doing two of them? Screw it lets go. We left Denver around 5 am and headed to the trail head. The road up is not meant for a small Acura we found out the hard way… We ended having to park 1.5 miles down the road from the parking lot and hitched hiked up to the trail head. After a long morning and trek just to make it to the trail head we started on our accent at 7 am. We managed to summit Grays peak at just after 11 am and made summit on Torreys peak just after 12 pm. Over all it took us about 8.5 hours round trip. Cant wait to summit another one!
